Vacuum - Short Film

An unexplainable cosmic explosion separates the trainee of a deep space station from their crew and Earth. Alone in the universe, how will they cope? Will they ever find home? A pair of underqualified brothers in mission control may be the only hope of communicating with Earth once again.

I worked as a DOP on this film, my first Sci-Fi project for director Malik Abidi, I drew up camera plans and found out on the day that lighting plans are a must for a DOP. The experience in such a role and on such an ambitious film taught me to be calm and keep my head during stressful situations.
